His Prussian Majesty said that, so soon as he knew the King's resolution, he would, if it was agreeable, send an officer to Hannover2 to concert everything with the ministers and to assist them in the exécution of what should be agreed upon, that this appearance of perfect harmony and intelligence between the King and him might perhaps have some effects upon the Council of France and make them reflect before they began to act . . .

The King of Prussia hopes that orders have been already given to the King's ambassador at [the] court [of Petersbourg] to make use of every means to prevent their taking any part in the present war, and he is of opinion that a part of the subsidy can not be better applied than to this purpose ...“

Garnisons, so vorgeschlagen werden:4 2 Bataillons in Wesel, 1 in Hamm, 1 in Soest, 2 in Lippstadt, 1 in Bielefeld, 1 in Herford, ohne Calcar, Xanten, Emmerich und andere Oerter, die da noch könnten belegt werden, und die die Hannoveraner einen langen Marsch künftig Jahr sparen würden. Dieses nur ins Französisch ohne Unterschrift an Michell zu schicken.5

La dépêche du 26 de novembre que vous m'avez fait passer par le courrier envoyé au sieur Mitchell, m'a été fidèlement rendue, par laquelle j'ai vu à ma satisfaction particulière la bonne disposition où le nouveau ministère6 se trouve à mon égard et pour faire des efforts afin d'agir vigoureusement contre nos ennemis. Comme le temps presse extrêmement pour faire les arrangements qu'il faut, j'ai donné différents
